How We Get You Looking Your Best
Getting Started on Your Smile
We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your braces and Invisalign treatment. Your first visit to the orthodontist will consist of a complementary examination and discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment.
After we have completed the evaluation, we will discuss estimated treatment time and fees. We encourage questions from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions. If treatment is indicated, we can begin at this appointment if you desire (no waiting necessary) with a scan (video) of the teeth to be used for treatment planning. Since this is considered the start of treatment, the initial fee or a portion thereof will be expected at this time. Or, we will be happy to schedule an appointment when it is convenient for you.
A Great Smile at Any Age!

Early, Adolescent, and Adult Treatment
You probably know that it’s never too late to begin orthodontic treatment — but when it comes to your youngster’s teeth, did you know that earlier may be better than later? According to the American Association of Orthodontists, kids should have an initial orthodontic screening at age 7.
There are several good reasons why adolescence is the optimal time to meet with an orthodontist, though occasionally even earlier intervention is called for. One reason has to do with the development of the teeth: there’s no set timetable for every kid, but generally by the age of 11-13 the deciduous (baby) teeth have all been lost, and the permanent ones have largely come in.
We’re seeing more and more adult orthodontic patients these days, and it’s not hard to figure out why. Appliances that are barely noticeable have been developed to give adults more discreet choices when it comes to orthodontic treatment. Many adults realize that investing in a smile makeover can have significant benefits, socially and professionally. Straightening teeth can be an important part of that confidence-boosting makeover process.
We offer braces that align and straighten the teeth, while also improving your dental health! Treatment time depends on each patient’s specific orthodontic problem, but the average time frame a person is in braces is approximately 18-24 months.
There now exists an increasingly popular alternative to traditional metal braces: Invisalign® clear aligners. Invisalign® clear aligners are made of almost invisible polyurethane plastic. Rather than being cemented or bonded to the teeth as metal or clear braces are, clear aligners are completely removable. Benefits include reduced treatment time, improved oral hygiene, a discreet look, more dietary choices, comfort, and teeth grinding protection.
The Damon® System offers tie-less braces that don’t need to be “tightened” and are gentle to the teeth and tissues. Additionally, they provide high-technology, memory-shape wires that quickly move teeth and require fewer adjustments. This is a clinically proven treatment approach that aligns teeth and enhances facial aesthetics – usually without extractions or rapid palatal expanders. We are proud to offer both Damon® Q Braces and Damon® Clear braces.
Corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) treats and corrects abnormalities of the facial bones, specifically the jaws and the teeth. Often, these abnormalities cause difficulty associated with chewing, talking, sleeping and other routine activities. Orthognathic surgery may be unnecessary if orthodontic treatment alone can correct the problem. With the latest advances in orthodontics, this is sometimes the case. We will determine if orthognathic surgery is the correct treatment option for you.
We strive to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. For your convenience, we accept checks, Visa and MasterCard credit cards. We also offer CareCredit as an outside financing source. For payment in full, we extend a 5% courtesy.
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges. We are proud to be a participating provider of military insurance.
